The Somal Group of
Companies is completely family owned under the chairmanship
of Tara Singh Somal esq., and is made up of 7 companies.
The two other directors of the Somal Group are: Mr. G.S. Somal - B.Sc. Engineering, MBA, Columbia University (USA), and Mr. U.I.S. Somal - M. Commerce, MBA, Rutgers University (USA). The first business established was Somal Brickworks, a brick manufacturing company, in 1904. The brick business is still very much a part of the Somal Group to this day.
